Let's Get Talking!
Who's calling, please? The first part of this seminar will give you a solid basis for telephone communication in English: useful phrases, vocabulary, listening and speaking practice.
LOL, but not here! You will learn how to formulate e-mails to make a good impression, not just send cryptic messages to your buddies! Style is the element here, and - believe it or not - is still important in the business world today. A comprehensive business vocabulary list is included.
Job Application Training
Get the job you want! More and more German-speaking people are applying for jobs in English, either to work abroad or for a company in their own country that has English as its official language. In the first part of this block you will learn how to write a covering letter and make sure that your curriculum vitae (or resumé) is up to date. The second part of this module will deal with everything you need to know about job interviews. This will make it easier for you to apply for jobs in English - and get the job you really want.
Fine-tune your meeting skills, and learn how to write agendas and minutes in this block. A mini-meeting will be part of this session.
You will be preparing negotiation strategies, organizing dates and details by phone, and carrying out a real negotiation meeting, formulating e-mails as memos to summarize the discussion.
